The Day of Unity and Prayer held at the Wyoming Ave. church of Christ building was a huge success. There must have been over a thousand people there. As we (area church leaders and ministers) greeted members on the way out, there were two common refrains, "what took so long?" and "when are we going to do this again?"I hope that events like these will become common place. We need to come together to sing and pray more often. We are also working hard to resolve differences within the local brotherhood so that all can participate in the future. Let's pray to that end!!!
This is my first blog. I thought I would just leave a few lines to get started. Hope to hear from you.

Dear son,we feel that God has given you the love and enough understanding to stand up and do His will. As long as you put God first in your life, you will always succeed. You know how we feel about you and your work.
The song I"m Glad I know You" says it all.
Your grateful parents,
Lillie & Willie Cribbs
Dear Brother Cribbs, this was a great day for the Church of Christ, thank you for your efforts to help bring the churches together as one.Your friend in Christ, Brother Jobar Williams and family.
Dear Bro Cribbs,
I was not able to attend the Day of Unity, but the comments I heard were wery incouraging. I know that what ever you do, it's in the name of the Lord, that is why I love you so. May God always be your guide in whatever you do.
with love

In this day we need unity now more than ever. Faith is tested everyday and we need to pray as a group to encourage each other more and more. The unity service is something I prayed for and talked about for the longest and I spoke with Bro. McCullogh as well as other leaders and voiced my prayer and God answered my prayers. He told me to just keep praying and I did. Bro. Cribbs I must let you know this was amazing and sooooo needed. I hope that the Leaders recognize we don't just need this for the Liberty/Linwood situation but, we need it for our Leaders, Young Adults, Seniors, and especially for the Children the future of the church. I hope we can incorporate this with 1st Sunday Song Service and learn to come together to uplift, fellowship, and pray and take it back to our fellow congregations to be better today than yesterday. This is much bigger than Liberty/Linwood the brother hood has needed pray, fellowship, and to get back to supporting each other, not breaking each other down and loving each other. My prayers will continue..........
Thankyou
S. Williams
